I give this moisturizer 3/5 thumbs up. I like it.
It seems it is in right now to release these gel like moisturizers, I previously knew only the Lancôme versions of this product from which now only Hydra Zen exists. Clarins, Vichy and Neutrogena have in the last months release these kind of hydrating moisturizers with a gel like formulation. Packaging of this Hydro Boost Aqua Gel by Neutrogena is great, compact, sturdy but still beautiful and sleek. You get 50ml of product for around 13 Euro, which is pretty affordable for a decent hydrating product.
The product is of a gel like consistency that almost melts into a sticky liquid on your skin once you apply it. It is heavier on the skin than other gel like or melting formulas, but that comes with the price. It is fresh and cooling to the touch. It is hydrating but it wont heal dry patches, and it is probably more suited to oily skin than dry or very dehydrated skin. In those cases, you probably will need something more hydrating.
Would I buy it again? Probably not, there are others I like better, but it is still a good product.
