X vs.Y: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer vs. Revlon Colorstay Concealer

Here I will be comparing two drugstore concealers that I recently tried. On the left we have the very mentioned FitMe Concealer by Maybelline New York, and on the right Revlon Colorstay.

Lets start with the packaging. In this category Maybelline wins with the FitMe concealer, even though the Revlon Colorstay packaging feels more “expensive” and solid. The applicator is not very good. Both applicators seem very similar, but somehow the FitMe Concealer applicator works much better, picking up product and applying it evenly.

The concealer, well, the winner might depend on what do you expect on a concealer. In consistency Maybelline’s concealer is creamier, thicker while the Revlon one is quite light, a liquid gel like consistency. The Revlon one blends easier and more seamless, but it has less coverage than the FitMe Concealer. I really enjoyed the Revlon one for its consistency and it also feels more illuminating, but this could be an effect from the shade.

I would say that if you are after coverage then the FitMe Concealer is your champion. If you just want a light illuminating texture Revlon is your guy. I personally liked the Revlon Colorstay better for its illumination effect.
